The Beatle boot is a style of boot that has been worn since the 1960’s – made popular by the Beatles, for whom they were originally made. The boots are a variation of the Chelsea boot: they are tight-fitting, Cuban heeled, ankle-high boots with a sharp pointed toe. The style can feature either elastic or zipped sides.
It’s hard to imagine a time before the invention of shoes. Yet what started as a practical venture has grown into a varied, booming industry just as concerned with art as it is with functionality. Though all shoes share basic characteristics, their colouring, materials and designs have transformed drastically over thousands of years in the fascinating history of footwear.
